Got home late and Skye was already asleep. Found the following items beside her on the bed: baby doll, stuffed kitty and stuffed chicken dolls, (ok, so far, nothing out of the ordinary)... now for the other stuff--big paintbrush, balloon pump, piece of red ribbon, and 2 orange soccer cones. We live constantly surrounded by Skye's playtime clutter!
Honestly though, it may annoy me at times, but for the most part, I love Skye's clutter. In all that clutter, I see so much of her character, her creativity, and her wit. So yeah, it's ok. I can live with it.

Letter from Skye
Dear Mommy,
I hope you won't expire.
Love,
Skye
Me: Skye, what does 'expire' mean?
Skye: You know, explode!
I hope you won't expire.
Love,
Skye

Why Babies Disobey
Skye: Mommy, do you know why babies disobey?
Me: Why?
Skye: Because their brains are so tiny, they can't remember rules!

grand prize
Watching tv earlier, a Sunsilk commercial comes on. They have some contest where the prizes are a Honda Jazz, Ipods, and a trip to Boracay with Jericho Rosales.
Me: Skye, maybe we should join. We could win our Honda Jazz! (we've been praying for one)
Skye: Or, we could win an ipod...or Mommy, you could win a husband!
Hahaha, walang kamalay-malay si Jericho Rosales.

Skye Said
Me: Skye, why are you being so bossy?
Skye: I'm not bossy. I'm just telling you what to do!

Skye Said
Skye: "Mommy, you make my heart so happy."
Awww, sweetheart, it made my heart so happy when you told me that. I love you so much.
First Dentist Visit
You made Mommy so proud that you were so good at the dentist today. You were very brave and the dentist, Dr. Myra, didn't have any problems cleaning your teeth and filling your one and only cavity. You were even chatting it up with her. She would often check with you if what she was doing was painful. There was one time you said yes. She asked, "Really?!" And you said, "No, I was just joking!" Hahaha. You're so silly sometimes. Then when it was my turn to sit at the dentist's chair, you kept telling me to be brave and to hold the mirror up so I could see what the dentist was doing. Then when you were going to go to the toy store with Yaya Agnes, you told Dr. Myra that you would come pick me up when I was done. Hahaha, you were like a little grown up!

On Bedtime and Learning to Text
It's almost 2:00 a.m., and would you believe, you just fell asleep maybe 20 minutes ago?! Oh Skye, you're a six year old insomniac, hahaha. Well, almost six. In a litte less than a month, you're going to have your sixth birthday. Sweetie, you're growing up so fast and that makes me a little sad. I wish you could stay my baby forever. But don't worry, it's also a delight to me that you're growing up and learning so many new things. You learn so fast! Yesterday, I taught you how to compose and send texts on my old cellphone. Tita Kris said, today, you were already texting all on your own. She thought that was really funny and a little bit freaky, hahaha. I'm thrilled that you can text now. I'm looking forward to more of your 'I love you Mommy' messages. Ok, time for me to try and sleep. I need to be up by 5:30 a.m. That's only 3 hours from now!!! I'm sorry that my insomnia has kind of rubbed off on you. We really should start getting to bed earlier. Mommy will do her best to fix our bedroom so we can start sleeping there again. Then maybe we can have a more proper bedtime schedule--one more suited for a six year old. Oh, and I'm also sorry that Mommy had so much work to finish before I finally got to read you your bedtime story. Things will change and get better, honey. I wish my only job was to be your Mommy. I love you so much, Skye. Mommy is so blessed to have you.
